Michelin Star For Carters

The Michelin Guide has been busy rewarding another Birmingham restaurant with a coveted star. Carters of Moseley has just been given its first ever one! It’s a significant coup for the Moseley restaurant run by chef Brad Carter and his partner and front of house manager Holly Jackson. Making Carter’s the city’s 5th Michelin star restaurant!

Heavenly Fine Dining

Going further afield, a new fine dining Indian restaurant has opened in Little Aston Sutton Coldfield against much fanfare. The new venture promises to offer a heavenly fine dining journey. Set grandly on the corner of Thornhill Road and Burnett Road, Ganesha is set over two floors, with an outside garden terrace and seating upstairs and on the upstairs balcony. This stylish haven is decorated in muted bronze tones, when you enter you are greeted by a stunning wine library beautifully back lit with striking chandeliers overhead. The staff are very proud of their bar and it certainly would give Fumo a run for itsmoney! Upstairs is a floor to ceiling gloss mural of the Hindu God “Ganesh” which certainly creates a striking centrepiece. The 70 cover restaurant is the latest venture by Solihull business man Tan Handa who already owns The Horseshoe Bar & Restaurant in Hall Green in South Birmingham and Luxury Lifestyle. The launch was certainly a night for those who loved the luxury lifestyle with two Rolls Royce Wraiths pulling up outside and glamourous staff to greet the guests with flutes of champagne. www.ganesharestaurants.co.uk
