Local Event Aims to Raise Awareness
A dinner and dance event to raise funds for Delete Blood Cancer UK and raise awareness of blood stem cell donation is taking place in Smethwick. The event, which is being organised by a group of volunteers (led by local man Robbie Chahal), is taking place on Saturday, the 5th of September, at The Night Inn. Up to six hundred people are expected to attend the event.
The event will start at 6pm and end at midnight, and will include a three course meal and a range of entertainment acts.
Speaking about the event and why he is organizing it, Robbie said: “We hope the event will encourage people to sign up to be a potential stem cell donor, and of course, raise money to continue the fantastic work being done by Delete Blood Cancer UK.”
