Boxing Academy Celebrates Season of Success
Bradford Police and College Boxing Academy marked the end of term with a celebration lunch in honour of boxer Muhammad (Mo) Ali’s achievements in 2014.
Mo’s achievements this year include an England Boxing Youth Championship gold, GB Youth Three Nations gold, silver at the World Youth Championships in Bulgaria, bronze at the Youth Olympics in China and gold at the European Youth Championships in Croatia.
Paul Porter, Sports Academies Coordinator Manager at Bradford College, which incorporates the Academy and is partnered by the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain, said: ‘Mo has now progressed from our BTEC Level 3 Sport course to our Sports Coaching degree, so we’ll have him for another couple of years at least. It’s a pleasure to see him continue to succeed.
‘The celebration also gave our team a chance to have a reunion. It’s been a big year for all five of us, so we had plenty to chat about. It’s been quite a year and we’re all looking forward to 2015.’
